JACKIE KINGSTON, PSYCHOLOGIST

BA (Psych), Post Grad. Dip. Psych, Associate MAPS

Jackie is a Registered Psychologist and associate member of the Australian Psychological Society. She is a Director of Just Psychology and a registered Medicare, Psychological Access Plus and WorkCover provider.

Jackie has extensive experience working with adults in a therapeutic setting, diagnosing and treating a wide variety of conditions including depression and anxiety. Jackie has also worked closely in a research capacity with those with severe mental illness including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Jackie is qualified to administer and interpret psychological assessments including cognitive testing for children and adults.

As a person, Jackie is warm and caring and demonstrates upmost consideration for her client’s wellbeing. She continues to learn and adopt latest therapeutic approaches, which assists her in providing the best possible treatment for her clients.

Jackie is available for appointments on Thursday (8:15am to 6pm) and Saturday (8:30am to 12:30pm).

RUDOLPH STORK, PSYCHOLOGIST

MA Psych, Associate MAPS

Rudolph is a Registered Psychologist and an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society. He believes that we all have the ability to make changes in our lives and in ourselves, helping us to live a more content and value-driven life. He believes that his role as a psychologist is primarily focussed on helping people discover the tools within themselves to facilitate these changes.

Rudolf has experience working with a diverse range of people facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, drug and alcohol addiction, trauma, stress, and grief and loss. He has worked with adults, young people, couples, the LGBTQ community as well as members of diverse ethnic backgrounds. He speaks English, Czechoslovakian and Slovakian.

Rudolf believes that a solution-focussed approach within the context of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps people to make solid changes leading to long-lasting outcomes. Rudolf strives to engage in collaborative sessions to build trust and motivation for success in order to help his clients reach their goals and enhance their everyday lives.

 

Rudolph is a registered Medicare, and Psychological Access Plus provider and is available for appointments on Fridays 9am-6pm.

KYM CARLSON, PSYCHOLOGIST

BA(Psych), Post Grad. Dip. Psych, Post Grad. Dip. Applied Psych, Associate MAPS

Kym is a registered psychologist, associate member of the Australian Psychological Society, and has also trained in relationship counselling. She has extensive experience working with young people, parents and families. Kym’s experience spans across a wide range of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, suicide and self-harm, trauma, stress related issues, and more. She has worked in partnership with many organisations including schools, GPs, community health and other allied health professionals. Her diverse experience and qualifications enable her to provide a high quality, confidential and ethical standard for clients.

Kym uses evidence based interventions such as solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, interpersonal therapy, narrative therapy, family therapy and more to help people work through their presenting problems, grow and gain a better understanding of self. She treats each client as a unique individual with their own experiences and story. She is warm and caring, and demonstrates empathy and respect for her clients.

Kym is competent in providing clinical support for adults but specialises in counselling children (from 5 years old) and adolescents; she also has an extensive background in working with families and is currently completing additional training at Relationships Australia.

Kym is a registered Medicare and Psychological Access Plus provider and is available for appointments on Wednesdays 9am to 6pm
